Lynda Tygart will have a solo exhibition of her bromoils at the Nebraska Governor’s Residence from May 28th through June 27th. Lynda’s bromoil entitled “Garden Path” is featured on the Home Page for the International Society of Bromoilists at www.bromoil.info.
Debra Groesser News
Debra has been juried into "Far and Near Horizons", a two year world tour of contemporary landscape paintings, sponsored by the International Plein Air Painters and Landscape Artists International. Julie Kinkade News
Julie Kinkade travels to Amana Iowa in June to teach a 5-day residency for the Amana Art Guild: "Form and Ideas in Clay". Teachers can receive college or recertification credit by attending the workshop, as she shares her unique thrown and altered style of forming clay sculptures. A highlight will be sawdust firings of initial creations.
From the workshop, Julie goes directly to the Cambridge Pottery Festival in Wisconsin for a fun-filled weekend with 50 other potters selling their wares, and competing in the U.S. Pottery Games. Check out their website for more information: cambridgepotteryfestival.org.
Then, Julie has two weeks to catch her breath before the Omaha Summer Arts Festival, where she will have a booth for the 4th year, as well as demonstrating her art for OMA and her studio, the Omaha Clayworks.
Omaha Summer Arts Festival
OMA Gallery will have a booth in the Omaha Summer Arts Festival which will feature not only gallery members artwork, but also demonstrations and activities for kids. The gallery will be open regular hours during the festival. Festival dates are Friday, June 27th, and Saturday, June 28th, from 11am to 8pm, and Sunday, June 29th, from 11am to 5pm.
